Granville County Day of Caring is a community wide day of hands on
volunteering that connects volunteers with non-profit organizations to
work on various projects that would otherwise not be completed.

It is
a day that demonstrates that volunteerism is vital to the well being of
our community. It spotlights United Way’s role in bringing volunteers
together, empowering them to work together to address some of the urgent
needs facing our community.
The 2009-Day of Caring event will be held on October
9, 2009. Some of the sample projects are: painting, landscaping,
construction, or clerical duties.
The
Day of Caring brochure provides a program
summary.
Organizations interested in participating in the 2009
Day of Caring event can complete a
registration form that can be

. The project committee will review the company information and the
team will be paired to a project based on size of the team and the
number of volunteers needed for the project. (All agency projects are
tasks that can be accomplished in one business day.) Registration
deadline is August 28, 2009. A project
lead will contact you and follow-up on your submission.
